Wally Scott was a wonderful man of God, a great man of wisdom and my friend. I will miss his laugh, his encouragement and his thoughtful answers. He was a blessing to E91and to my family. Praying for your comfort.
I had the privilege of serving on the elder board with Wally. He lived his life as a true man of God and was a great leader, mentor and shepherd for our congregation and younger elders such as myself.
Wally will be deeply missed but more than anything I am rejoicing that he is in the presence of the Lord and Savior, Jesus, whom he served so faithfully in his years on earth.
My prayers are with the Scott family as well as close friends!
Sending my sincere sympathy at Wally's passing. I have wonderful memories of being with Wally, Harriett, Irma and the family at Harry and Evelynne's on the lake. He also gave us two commemorative plates at the birth of our children. I still treasure them. Please know I'm thinking of you fondly.
Wally was one of the great Dads of my youth. His son and I were classmates at Ripple and Mr. Scott was always there recognizing and encouraging all of us. On a personal note, though, was a 1960 auto accident in which I survived serious injuries and spent 4 months in the hospital. The key was Mrs. Scott arriving first on the scene there in her neighborhood and insisting that I be put in a neck brace before being moved one inch. My cervical spine had been fractured and her action probably saved me from lifetime paralysis.
God bless the Scotts and their loving care for all youth.Lyy6A
Wally was such a wonderful man of God--a wise and loving friend, and a faithful follower of Christ. I am thankful for his life and his many years of dedicated service at East 91st Street Christian Church.
